After weeks of intelligence-led investigations, the Eastern Regional Police Command has detained two suspects in relation to a violent motorbike stealing incident that occurred at Sibakon Down, close to Comet Estate.
Almost a month after the robbery, on February 13, 2026, Kwabla Egblorgbe Gadoglo Mohammed, also known as “Moha,” 31, the major suspect, was located and taken into custody at his hideout in Afienya.
According to police investigations, on January 18, 2026, Mohammed and an accomplice—who was subsequently executed by a vengeful mob—hired an Okada rider from Kwabenya named Muntari Zakari under the guise of an outing to Sibakon Hospital.
The suspects allegedly attacked the motorcyclist with a stone and a locally made firearm when they arrived at Sibakon Down. They demanded the keys to his unregistered Royal motorcycle and stole his iPhone 13 Pro.
Residents in the vicinity were alerted to the attack by the victim’s alarm.
