One of the most patronised malls in Accra, the Accra Mall, has said it is still ringing in innovations to enhance customers’ experience.
Some of the innovations are engaging customers as well as encouraging retailers in the facility to extend their special discount sales, to sustain the interest of customers.
It said from experience, it has become clear that special occasions shape shopping behaviour and thus, it was important to consistently roll out such activities that sustain both interest and patronage from customers.
Innovations
One of the successful customer engagement was the pre-Valentine’s Day sale promotion that took place at the Mall and which attracted good patronage; that is now being extended to the end of the month.
In a press statement, managers of the Accra Mall said from experience, seasonal shopping now extends beyond traditional gifting, reflecting broader lifestyle trends as shoppers combine retail activity with social experiences.
It had therefore adapted to that shift, as retailers balance promotions with efforts aimed at improving customer engagement.
Beyond promotions, Accra Mall has introduced engagement activities including a photo setup, social media participation linked to voucher rewards, and shopper vox pops.
It said these efforts reflect how malls are increasingly blending retail with social interaction and digital engagement.
Offers
Among the offers still running after the Valentine season promotion are beauty and accessories brands.
For instance, Yves Rocher continues to offer between 10 to 30 per cent off selected products, while Lovisa also has 50 per cent off selected items.
“These promotions reflect ongoing demand for beauty and personal accessories even after the main Valentine rush,” the statement said.
Also, fashion retailers have maintained the pre-Valentine seasonal momentum with Celio still running 30 per cent off selected items, as well as Ennzo and Maestro who have maintained 30 per cent off selected items.
Also, footwear and sportswear retailers remain particularly active. Skechers is still offering 35 per cent off selected footwear, Fast Forward maintains offers of up to 50 per cent off footwear alongside bundle deals on apparel.
Deichmann continues with 10 per cent off new collections and additional buy two get one free offers on selected accessories, while Ashfoam keeps 10 per cent off selected items.
Decathlon is also promoting up to 70 per cent off Adidas products, reflecting strong competition in the athleisure segment.
General retailers have not stayed out of the special offer, sustaining wider discounts as well.
Melcom continues with 20 per cent off across its store, while Starlite maintains up to 20 per cent off selected items, appealing to shoppers making practical and household purchases.
As the season winds down, activity at Accra Mall highlights a broader shift in urban consumer culture, where shopping increasingly combines value, experience and community under one roof.
