The Africa Prosperity Network (APN) and Air Algérie Group have signed a Co-operation Framework Agreement in Addis Ababa, deepening collaboration to promote the “Make Africa Borderless Now!” movement and accelerate Africa’s economic integration.

The agreement reinforces the shared commitment of both institutions to champion the free movement of people, goods and services across the continent, a key pillar for the effective implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Recognising air connectivity as a critical enabler of integration, the partnership will support initiatives aimed at enhancing intra-African mobility and strengthening trade and cargo flows across Africa.

Under the framework, the two parties will collaborate to facilitate participation in the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) and other high-level convening platforms designed to drive policy alignment and economic cooperation. The agreement also provides a platform for structured policy dialogue, capacity building and advocacy efforts focused on dismantling barriers to trade, travel and economic activity.

The signing signals growing institutional backing for the Make Africa Borderless Now! movement, which is pushing for the practical implementation of existing continental integration agreements.

Organisers say the movement is aimed at unlocking Africa’s full economic potential by eliminating restrictions that limit intra-African trade and mobility, ultimately improving livelihoods across the continent and within the diaspora.

Members of the public are encouraged to support the campaign by signing the “Make Africa Borderless Now!” petition and adding their voices to the call for a more integrated and borderless Africa.
