“As you break the fast each evening, with family and friends, remember that the true beauty of Ramadan is not the abstinence from food, but in the discipline, compassion and generosity we show to all, especially those who are less fortunate than us,” he stated.

The President called on Muslims and all Ghanaians to use the month as an opportunity to strengthen social bonds and promote national unity.

“Let us use this holy month to deepen love, peace, and solidarity across the country,” he added.

President Mahama also offered prayers for the well-being of the faithful throughout the fasting period.

“May Allah, the Most Merciful, grant you good health and peace of mind throughout these 30 days of fasting. May your prayers be answered, and your good deeds be accepted,” he said.

Ramadan is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer and reflection, culminating in the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
