The Ministry of the Interior has announced an extension of the aptitude test dates for Category C (WASSCE) applicants under the 2025/2026 Centralized Services E-Recruitment Portal.
This follows challenges some applicants faced while attempting to submit and complete their tests online.
In a notice issued on Saturday, the Ministry said the decision was taken to ensure fairness and give all affected applicants equal opportunity to participate in the recruitment process.
As part of the new arrangements, the aptitude test deadline for Category C applicants has been extended to February 28, 2026, with a mop-up exercise beginning on Saturday, 21 February 2026, across service-based lots.
The revised schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, 21st – Monday, 23rd February 2026: Ghana Immigration Service (GIS)
- Tuesday, 24th – Wednesday, 25th February 2026: Ghana Police Service
- Thursday, 26th – Friday, 28th February 2026: Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and Ghana Prisons Service
In addition, the Ministry announced that a general mop-up exercise for all categories (A to C) will take place between Sunday, March 1, and Monday, March 2, 2026, with the publication of results scheduled for March 4, 2026.
Applicants affected by the extension will receive SMS notifications prompting them to log into the portal and retake the aptitude test within the new dates.
The Ministry clarified that applicants who have already successfully completed the test (82%) will not be allowed to log in again until the results are officially released.
To further address concerns, the Ministry has also announced an upcoming live social media session to be led by a technical facilitator to resolve issues related to the aptitude test and the recruitment process.
The session is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 8:30pm, with further details to be shared in subsequent updates.
The Ministry of the Interior urged all applicants to adhere strictly to the revised schedule and official communications to avoid misinformation and confusion as the recruitment process continues.
