Two people have been retrieved dead from a crashed trailer at Asukawkaw in the Oti Region.
The trailer with registration number GS 6425–12 had the deceased occupants trapped with its cabin mangled following the accident on February 22, 2026.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that it took its personnel from the Pai Katanga Fire Post seven hours to extricate the victims following their arrival around 4 am.
The deceased were handed over to the Police for preservation and further investigation.
It further reported that a driver’s licence bearing the name Suleman Hadaru Yusif was found in the vehicle.
“The cause of the crash remains under investigation,” it said.
