Ghanaian politician who doubles as a lawyer, Martin Alamisi Burnes Kaiser Amidu, known better as Martin Amidu has questioned President Mahama about how he acquired his 50 acres of cocoa farmland.

Martin Amidu’s question comes after the president, reacting to the predicaments of cocoa farmers said that: “I planted cocoa on the 50 acres, so I’m a cocoa farmer. When the price is reduced, it affects me too.”

Reacting to the president’s statement, Martin Amidu expressed shock and asked the president to let the public know how he was able to acquire his 50 acres of cocoa farmland.

“It is in the public interest for President Mahama to disclose when he acquired the fifty acres,” the politician and lawyer said, adding that “The electorate deserves to know the consideration for which the land was given.”
