The Member of Parliament for the Ofoase Ayirebi constituency on the ticket of the NPP, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has waded into the ongoing discussion on cocoa prices.

Speaking with Jibsam on Gh Page TV, the former minister for information noted that per his checks, the stories that revolve around the prices of cocoa no longer make sense in relation to the cocoa prices.

The politician noted that before the leadership of former president Akufo-Addo, “cocoa bags were being bought by COCOBOD at 475 seeds”.

However, according to him, under the leadership of former president Akufo-Addo, cocoa prices were increased despite the inflation reduction among other factors.
