G/Cpl Desmond Appiah is now a board member of Kaaseman Rural Bank

Kaaseman Rural Bank has appointed a serving police officer, G/Cpl Desmond Appiah, to its board of directors, marking a notable development in the bank’s governance.

Headquartered in Sefwi Kaase, in the Bia East District of the Western North Region, the bank boasts several branches across the country.

The Inspector General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, granted permission for Officer Appiah to serve on the board following his nomination, secondment, and election by shareholders during the bank’s 2024 Annual General Meeting.

Since enlisting in the Ghana Police Service in 2011 as a general recruit, Officer Appiah has steadily risen through the ranks, serving with distinction in units such as investigations, operations, intelligence, and general duties.

He holds a diploma and a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as an LLB from Winneba and KAAF University, respectively.

His experience in the police service, combined with his academic background, brings valuable expertise to the bank, strengthening its governance, growth, and decision-making.

Rural Bank shareholders told to purchase more shares

Likewise, the appointment underscores the bank’s commitment to bringing diverse expertise and strong leadership to its board while continuing its operations across several branches in the region.
