Former Ghanaian international, Hamza Mohammed has described Black Stars winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku as a special talent capable of replacing the legendary Abedi Ayew Pele.

According to Hamza Mohammed, the Leicester City winger is a good player and needs to stay fit because he will be a great asset for the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“He is a great talent. “We are just privileged to have such a talent on our team. A young guy who is doing very well for himself and the country. We just pray for injury-free for him.”

“And who knows? Maybe he will be one of the Abedi Peles that we’ve never seen since the legend left the game,” he said in an interview with 3Sports.

Hamza highlighted Fatawu as a central figure in Ghana’s long-term plans, describing him as part of the new generation expected to shape the future of the Black Stars for many years.

“Fatawu and the likes are the future of the Black Stars. So just hope and pray for an injury-free him.”
