Former Member of Parliament for Sissala East, Amidu Chinnia, has publicly endorsed Boakye Agyarko Kyeremanteng for the position of national chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), citing his political experience and leadership qualities as critical for party unity ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Chinnia made the endorsement in a social media post following Kyeremanteng’s recent courtesy visit to the party’s 2028 presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

The former MP described the meeting as a demonstration of the seasoned politician’s commitment to unifying the party and supporting its presidential candidate.

“This is Agyarko Boakye Kyeremanteng in a picture with our 2028 presidential candidate. He is a man with massive political experience and the temperament to hold the party together for victory in 2028,” Chinnia wrote.

He added that the NPP requires a national chairman with charisma and appeal beyond the party’s membership base, emphasising that the next election will demand broad national support and a deliberate strategy to secure victory.

“The unity required in the party is guaranteed by this very experienced man, and we need him at this material time to support our dependable presidential candidate to deliver victory for our great party in 2028,” Chinnia said.

He further argued that electoral success for the NPP would not occur by chance, pointing out that a strong, strategic leader at the helm of the party is essential.

“The head of the party must fashion and implement a deliberate strategy to deliver victory, and Agyarko is the right man with the right strategy to deliver,” he added.

Supporters of Kyeremanteng have also positioned him as a leading contender for the national chairman role, asserting that his leadership experience could consolidate the party while strengthening support for Bawumia’s presidential bid.
