Patricia Osei Boateng is a Kumawood actress
The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for Kumawood actress and entrepreneur Patricia Osei Boateng following the arrest of four suspects in connection with the robbery and murder of Andrews Amankwa, who was shot during a robbery at Ohwim Tigo Junction in Kumasi.
In a post shared by Crime Check on Facebook, and sighted by GhanaWeb on February 26, 2026, it was stated that the actress is the wife of a suspected armed robbery gang leader known as Duku, who was allegedly involved in the robbery.
According to the police, Patricia Osei Boateng is believed to have assisted Duku, who was shot dead during an exchange of gunfire with officers after the robbery.
The post further alleged that Patricia helped her husband pose as a nurse to evade police checks. Crime Check also claimed that the actress has fled the country.

“The police are on a manhunt for Patricia Osei Boateng, the wife of suspected armed robbery gang leader Duku, for her alleged involvement in several robberies. According to the police, Duku was shot dead during an exchange of gunfire after a robbery linked to the death of Mr. Amankwa, the father-in-law of Sammy Gyamfi.
“Patricia is believed to have assisted him by pretending to be a nurse to avoid police checks. She is also reported to have travelled to Dubai after some of the robberies,” the post stated.
Background
The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on Monday, February 23, 2026, confirmed the arrest of four suspects in connection with the robbery and murder of Andrews Amankwa, who was shot during the incident at Ohwim Tigo Junction in Kumasi.
The IGP explained that immediately after the case was reported, he constituted a special team made up of the Ashanti Regional Commander, the Regional Intelligence Team, the Anti-Robbery Unit, and the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team of the CID Headquarters to commence investigations.
The first breakthrough occurred on February 18, 2026, with the arrest of Akwesi Manu, who was found in possession of the deceased’s Samsung mobile phone.
