Member of Parliament for Atebubu/Amantin, Sanja Nanja, has lauded the ruling NDC government for making “remarkable strides” across various sectors of the economy.
Speaking on Parliament TV on February 27, 2026, ahead of the State of the Nation Address (SONA), the legislator praised the Mahama-led administration’s performance since taking office in January 2025.
He noted that his primary expectation for the President’s address is a clear roadmap to sustain the country’s current momentum.
“I am expecting the President to communicate the strategies he will put in place to consolidate the gains his government has made since assuming power,” Nanja stated.

Touching on specific areas of improvement, the MP highlighted a stabilising economy and advancements in the education sector as evidence of the government’s success.
“Inflation has dropped, and the cedi has appreciated against the dollar. Even the Free SHS program has improved significantly. If for nothing at all, we no longer hear students complaining about feeding. Free SHS is in a much better state now than when we took over,” he added.
Nanja expressed optimism that the President’s address would provide a concrete plan for the future.
“It is working, and I am looking forward to the President indicating how he intends to consolidate these gains for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he said.
