President John Dramani Mahama say a total of 300 buses have been procured to enhance the country’s transport sector.
These vehicles will be used to support Intercity STC Coaches Limited, Metro Mass Transport Limited and the Private Road Transport Operators.
The initial batch of 100 buses is scheduled to arrive in the country by the end of the first quarter of this year, he announced to parliament.
“To improve public transport services in the country, the government is supporting intercity STC Coaches Limited, Metro Mass Transport Limited and the Private Road Transport Operators to renew their fleet. Currently, a total of 300 buses have been procured to improve road transport.”
The President made these submissions while delivering the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on February 27, 2026.
