President Mahama has revoked Gideon Aryeequaye’s appointment at Creative Arts Agency
President John Dramani Mahama has withdrawn the appointment of Gideon Aryeequaye as Acting Executive Secretary of Ghana’s Creative Arts Agency.
In a news shared by Joy Entertainment and sighted by GhanaWeb on March 1, 2026, it was noted that Gideon Aryeequaye has not yet been assigned to a specific position in his new role at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts.
The report further indicated that he has resigned from the Tourism Ministry.
Gideon Aryeequaye appointed Acting Executive Secretary of Creative Arts Agency
Gideon Aryeequaye was appointed Acting Executive Secretary of Ghana’s Creative Arts Agency in March 2025.
The former broadcaster is well known for his work as a television news anchor at TV3 Ghana.
He previously served as Head of News at E.TV Ghana and is also recognised for hosting the Ghana Most Beautiful programme on TV3.
From January 2014 to 2017, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), where he played a key role in shaping tourism initiatives in the country.
As an active member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gideon Aryeequaye once contested in the party’s parliamentary primaries for the Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfrom constituency in 2012 but was unsuccessful.
