Ghana Education Service has announced Keta Secondary Technical School as the winner of the 69th Independence Day Schools Quiz Competition.
The competition was held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the GNAT Hostel, Bediako Hall in Adabraka, Accra. The event formed part of activities marking Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebration. It was organised under the theme, “Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope.”
Four senior high schools from different parts of the country took part in the contest. KETASCO competed against Bolgatanga Senior High School, Serwaa Kesse Girls’ Senior High School and Akumadan Senior High School.
The competition was keenly contested, with all four schools displaying a high level of intelligence and teamwork. The finalists answered questions from different subject areas, showing deep knowledge and strong critical thinking skills. The contest kept the audience engaged throughout the event.
At the end of the competition, Keta Secondary Technical School emerged as the overall winner.
The annual Independence Day quiz is part of the Ghana Education Service’s efforts to promote patriotism, academic excellence and national awareness among students across the country.
