Samuel Koku Anyidoho, former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has commended the Electoral Commission (EC) for putting in place effective measures to ensure a smooth voting process in today’s Ayawaso East by-election.
Speaking as an observer, Anyidoho expressed his satisfaction with the arrangements, stating that the atmosphere at the polling stations at 6 am suggested a peaceful election.
He noted that the visible presence of police officers, including some in plainclothes, contributed to a secure environment, deterring potential disruptions.
According to Anyidoho, the EC has demonstrated professionalism in managing the electoral process so far, and he hopes the election continues smoothly.
