Creative professional and Chief Executive Officer of Mytime Group, Mr Karim Alhassan, has donated food items and essential supplies to vulnerable Muslims who are unable to afford daily meals during Ramadan in Tamale.
The donation, which targeted struggling families within the Muslim community, comes at a time many households continue to grapple with economic challenges.
Presenting the items, Mr Alhassan said the gesture was inspired by the values of compassion and sacrifice associated with the holy month.
“Ramadan is a period of reflection, sacrifice and generosity. As Muslims, we have a responsibility to support one another, especially those who are finding it difficult to provide for their families,” he said.
He added: “This is not just a religious obligation but also a social duty. If each of us supports even one person, we can reduce the hardship many people are facing.”
Mr Alhassan, who has been very supportive of young creative talents and has been part of Maccasio’s team, encouraged friends, family and well-wishers to emulate the gesture by extending a helping hand to the less privileged in their communities.
Some beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, describing it as timely and impactful.
“This support has come at the right time. It will help me and my children throughout the fasting period,” one beneficiary said.
Another recipient noted, “We are grateful to Mr Alhassan for remembering us during Ramadan. May Allah reward him abundantly for his kindness.”
