One of the injured Ghanaian soldiers in the recent missile attack on the Headquarters of the Ghanaian Battalion serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon has undergone surgery.

Together with other injured soldiers, the Ghana Armed Forces reported that he is responding to treatment.

“All injured soldiers are currently in stable condition.”

It further noted that fourteen officers whose accommodations were completely burnt down have since been re-kitted, re-accommodated and provided some support.

According to the GAF, the incident has not demoralised the Battalion as they are in high spirits with their morale high.

“The Ghana Armed Forces expresses its profound gratitude to the general public for the continued solidarity.”

The attack on March 6 left four soldiers injured; three minor and one critical.
