The Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service has listed the disappearance case of the Tema West Constituency Women’s Organiser of the National democratic Congress (NDC), Paulina Lamisi Akanbodiipo, among cases receiving intensified investigation.
According to the CID Boss, Lydia Yaako Donkor, the case has been taken over by the Code Case Unit, which has initiated a fresh probe.
It has since appealed for public assistance with any information that could lead to her location or establish the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
“The CID wishes to inform the public that its Code Case Unit has intensified investigations into a number of previously recorded high cases involving murder, disappearance and violent death.
“These cases, which attracted significant public attention at the time of the occurrence, are being reinvestigated with renewed resources, fresh intelligence and forensic support.”
Paulina Lamisi Akanbodiipo was reported missing on June 12, 2024.
Despite initial investigations, her whereabouts remain unknown.
