Shatta Wale has expressed disappointment in the EOCO for making him a laughing stock in the Ghanaian entertainment fraternity.
Speaking on Asempa FM, the dancehall musician shared how his issue with the EOCO negatively affected his brand both internally and internationally.
Shatta Wale noted that if indeed he stole the car as it was said, he wouldn’t be flaunting it on social media for people to see it. “Why would I buy a car that is stolen and flaunt it?”
The musician noted that, he knew the issue, when made known to all and sundry could badly affect his brand, so, meeting with the EOCO boss, he knelt before him and begged him to let them solve the issue behind the camera.
He said “When the issue first came up, I knelt and asked the EOCO boss not to let the issue come out and I was willing to cooperate to solve the issue”.
He however revealed that “The yellow car is still with EOCO and they are processing it to send it back to the US,” adding that “There was an issue years back with NAM1 giving out Sonata. When his issue of fraud came up and I was told that I had to return the car, I did, adding all the papers to it without any drama”.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale claims “But with this current one, I bought it with my own money. I have all the documents confirming that I made the purchase”.
