The government has launched a digital platform designed to enable air passengers to easily report complaints and seek redress when they encounter challenges during their travel.

Known as the Passenger Complaints Portal (PCP), it was launched during the commemoration of World Consumer Rights Day 2026 at the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

Launching the event, the Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, explained that aviation is fundamentally about people and the trust passengers place in the system.

He added that when passengers are treated with respect and given the necessary platforms to express concerns, it builds confidence in the industry.

According to him, safe, comfortable, and confident airspace is likely to boost tourism, promote trade, attract investment, and create employment opportunities.

Nikpe also reiterated that the government is committed to positioning Ghana as West Africa’s preferred aviation hub under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.

He explained that this vision will be achieved through efficiency, transparency, and innovation across the aviation sector.

He called for collaboration among government agencies, airlines, airport operators, and consumer protection organisations to ensure safe skies and competitive services.

He commended the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority for taking a proactive step to enhance passenger protection and accountability in the aviation industry.

The Minister encouraged passengers to make constructive use of the portal to report grievances and help drive improvements in service standards.
