Divaloper, a leading technology education social enterprise committed to narrowing the gender gap in STEM, has announced the renewal of its partnership with the KGL Foundation for the third consecutive year.
The collaboration aims to empower African youth, particularly adolescent girls and young women, by equipping them with essential digital skills.
Under the renewed sponsorship, Divaloper will continue to train adolescent girls, young women, and teachers in Senior High Schools (SHS) and Junior High Schools (JHS) across Ghana in coding, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and digital safety.
The partnership was formalised with the signing of a contract on 26 February 2026 at the Hillview Guest Centre. The ceremony took place during a two-day workshop organised to sensitise stakeholders and partners on the scope, objectives, and expectations of the renewed collaboration.
The workshop brought together representatives from both organisations, along with programme partners, educators, and community leaders, to align on the strategic direction for the coming year.
With continued support from the KGL Foundation, Divaloper will expand several flagship initiatives.
Divaloper will establish and expand FemTech Clubs in SHS and JHS institutions nationwide. These clubs provide safe and inspiring spaces where girls receive hands-on training in coding, AI, robotics, and digital safety, equipping them with critical 21st-century skills and nurturing the next generation of female technology leaders.
A key component of the programme will focus on training teachers in SHS and JHS. By strengthening educators’ digital literacy and computational thinking skills, the initiative ensures that knowledge gained through the programme becomes embedded within the school system.
Divaloper will also host its flagship leadership summits, bringing together adolescent girls, young women, educators, industry professionals, and policymakers to discuss challenges facing women in technology, celebrate achievements, and inspire the next generation of innovators.
Recognising the importance of responsible online engagement, the programme will integrate comprehensive digital safety modules to ensure that young women are not only technologically skilled but also able to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
The decision by the KGL Foundation to sponsor the programme for a third consecutive year underscores the tangible impact of the partnership and the shared commitment of both organisations to advancing gender equality in STEM education in Ghana.
Over the past two years, the collaboration has reached thousands of girls and trained hundreds of teachers, helping to build technology-empowered communities.
Founder and Executive Director of Divaloper, Zulaiha Dobia Abdullah, expressed appreciation for the continued support.
“We are deeply grateful to the KGL Foundation for their unwavering support and belief in our mission. This third year of partnership allows us to deepen our impact, reach more communities, and continue building a generation of confident, tech-savvy young women who will shape the future of Ghana and beyond.”
The two-day workshop held at the Hillview Guest Centre from 25 to 26 February 2026 served as a platform for partners to gain a comprehensive understanding of the programme’s goals, operational framework, and expected outcomes for the third year.
Discussions focused on implementation strategies, monitoring and evaluation systems, community engagement approaches, and collaborative planning aimed at maximising impact and accountability.
The workshop concluded with the formal contract signing between Divaloper and the KGL Foundation, marking the official commencement of the third year of the partnership.
