The Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) has officially unveiled its 25th anniversary logo, marking a significant milestone in its sustained campaign to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in Ghana.
Established in 2001, the Coalition has, over the past two and a half decades, positioned itself as a convening platform, bringing together civil society organisations, public institutions, the private sector, the media and citizens to strengthen collective action against corruption and advance good governance.
Over the years, GACC has played a pivotal role in raising public awareness on corruption-related issues, advocating governance reforms and deepening citizen participation in accountability processes.
Through initiatives such as the Local Accountability Networks (LANets), which operate in 40 districts across all 16 regions, the Coalition has empowered citizens at the grassroots level to demand transparency and improved service delivery.
Chair of GACC, Nana Osei-Bonsu, underscored the significance of the milestone, noting that the anniversary is “not only a celebration” of the Coalition’s journey, but also a reflection of its impact in promoting “improved service delivery and accountable governance,” noted in a press statement issued on Monday, March 23.
“The anniversary is not only a celebration of the Coalition’s achievements but also a moment to reflect on the work that remains in advancing integrity and accountability in Ghana,” he stated.
He further emphasised that the progress recorded over the years has been driven by collaboration, adding that it has been made possible “through the dedication and partnership of members, development partners and citizens who continue to support the Coalition’s mission”.
According to the Coalition, the newly unveiled anniversary logo symbolises its 25-year journey, the strategic partnerships it has forged and its enduring commitment to strengthening collective action against corruption.
Throughout the anniversary year, GACC will commemorate the milestone through a series of programmes and engagements aimed at highlighting impact stories and recognising the contributions of partners and stakeholders.
As it celebrates its silver jubilee, the Coalition says it remains focused on consolidating its gains while expanding partnerships to further advance transparency, accountability and citizen participation in governance.
“The journey continues, here’s to the next 25 years,” the statement concluded.
