Tensions have resurfaced in the Nkwanta South Municipality following a fire outbreak that destroyed more than five houses in Keri, a farming community in the area. Reports indicate that the fires started around 1:00 AM under circumstances that remain unclear.

In the aftermath of the incident, Keri has largely been deserted, with only a few women reportedly remaining in the community. Residents who fled did so out of fear of further attacks, as uncertainty continues to surround the renewed violence.

The recurrence of violence has left many questioning what may have triggered this new attack.

Additionally, the incident follows another troubling report from last week, in which two individuals were allegedly attacked by unknown assailants in their home, further deepening anxiety among residents.
