Ghanaian songstress, Mzbel has disclosed what she needs from the incumbent NDC political party, stating that she doesn’t want anything much.
The “16 Years” hitmaker has stated that she took time off her busy schedule to organize and trumpet the good policies of the NDC, not because she needed an appointment.
Mzbel revealed that it is the fallacy implanted in the minds of the NDC and Ghanaians at large, revealing that she received a shocking response from the incumbent Governemt.
She noted that, the NDC has told her emphatically that they have nothing to give her, adding that she was not under duress to campaign for the party.
In response, Mzbel said she didn’t campaign for the NDC because she needed an appointment, stating that the party remains her party.
However, Mzbel stated that she wants the party to recognize her as a musician as far as the organization of events is concerned.
According to her, the party should book her to perform at events, just like they do to other musicians, who, might not have even openly supported the party as she did.
“The only thing I am concerned about is that my government is in power, yet, I haven’t been given any opportunity to work. I’m not asking for a polictal appointment. I’m a musician, and I simply want to be booked to perform just like my colleagues who are being paid for events”, she said.
Adding that “I supported the party and expected that when opportunities come up I would be considered too. When I speak about being sidelined, it’s just because I want to be included when musicians are being selected, since I’m still active”.
