Akosua Serwaa has touched down in Ghana as preparations gather pace for the upcoming celebration of life in honour of the late highlife legend, Daddy Lumba.

Her arrival, captured in a video captured by ZionFelix TV on March 24, 2026, shows the musician’s first surviving spouse stepping into the country through the Accra International Airport to a warm reception. She was welcomed by Papa Shee, Mama China, Ernestina Fosu, and a group of supporters known as Team Legal Wives, all present to receive her as plans for the memorial take shape.

The remembrance events are scheduled for March 28 and 29, a date earlier announced by Akosua Serwaa and Ernestina Fosu, the elder sister of the late singer, as part of efforts to honour his legacy.

Her arrival comes after months of disagreement within the family over whether a second funeral ceremony should be held. The tensions followed the initial burial of Daddy Lumba on December 13, 2025, at the Baba Yara Stadium, after a prolonged dispute involving Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu and Ernestina Fosu.

The legal and family disagreements have since shaped discussions around the planned March observance, even as key figures continue to move forward with arrangements to commemorate the late musician’s life.
