Foam manufacturing company, Latex Foam, has donated 100 bags of rice and an unspecified amount of cash to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, at his residence in Accra.

The donation reflects Latex Foam’s enduring relationship with the Muslim community and the National Chief Imam in particular, for his continued spiritual leadership in the country.

It is the latest gesture of what has become an annual ritual from the company to the Muslim community and the Chief Imam.

A delegation of senior management officers from the award-winning company, made up of the Export Manager, Dr Yakubu Diomande, and the Public Relations Officer, Gifty E. Appiah, presented the items on behalf of Latex Foam.

The delegation was received by the Chief Imam and his officials, including the Chief Protocol Officer, Alhaji Latif Abdul Salam, who received the items on behalf of the Chief Imam.

Significance

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Dr Diomande said the donation was to support the Chief Imam’s office as the Muslim community marked Eid-ul Fitr with renewed embrace of honour and gratitude to Allah after the month-long Ramadan.

He wished the Chief Imam good health as he neared his 107th birthday anniversary.

Appreciation

The Chief Imam expressed gratitude to Latex Foam, a respected brand across West Africa, and prayed for the company’s success in its operations.

The donation, which had become part of the company’s yearly commitment to the Chief Imam’s office, formed part of Latex Foam’s corporate social responsibility.
