Mr Nimbabuorah made this known at a retreat held at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.

He said such a significant performance of the Centre made it possible for it to contribute over GH₵90 million in taxes to the state last year.
The Board Chairman, attributed the successful performance of the centre to the impressive work of the Executive Director, Professor Alex Asase, over the past four years.
Four-year term
He said in view of that, the board had decided to renew his appointment for an additional four-year term, effective April 1, this year.
Mr Nimbabuorah said that as an institution dedicated to the scientific development and promotion of plant-based medicine, both at the national and international levels, it had bridged traditional knowledge and modern science in the health sector.
Global institution
Professor Asase, on his part, stated that his vision was to transform the Centre into a global institution of excellence.
He said that to enable him to do so, there were a number of things to do, such as innovative research, strategic partnerships, ensuring financial and sustainability and good management practices.
