Zen Garden Accra has been honoured as Ghana’s Best Live Music Venue by December in GH in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.
The award recognises Zen’s impact as a leading entertainment hub and contributor to national tourism.
The Labone-based venue, which has operated for over a decade, received the accolade for its role in promoting live music and creating a world-class entertainment experience in Ghana.
Renowned globally and featured in The New York Times, Time Out International, BBC and CNN, Zen Garden has become a key destination for international travellers. Over the past 10 years, the venue has supported thousands of individuals, providing sustainable livelihoods for musicians, staff and creatives, while serving as a space for Ghanaian cultural expression.
It has also played a role in nurturing talent, with acts such as Kwan Pa, Urban Groove, Camidoh, Adaha Dance Band and the Gentlemen associated with its stage, while established names like Efya, E.L and Kwame Yeboah remain regular performers.
Deeply committed to the community, Zen Garden supports social causes by donating to orphanages, churches and mosques across the country.
“We are proudly and very seriously committed to our mission,” says the Zen Garden team. “This award validates our decade-long journey of blending authentic Ghanaian hospitality with global standards, all while giving back to the people who make this nation great.”
Zen Garden operates as a restaurant and live music venue, open every day from 8am until after midnight. It features a variety of bands and music genres throughout the week, from Monday to Sunday.
