The 9th Ghana–West Africa Healthcare Excellence Awards took centre stage on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Prestigious Marriott Hotel, celebrating individuals and organisations setting exceptional standards in the healthcare industry.
Held under the theme, “Recognising Standards and Excellent Stewardship in the Health Industry,” the event brought together healthcare institutions, professionals, and policymakers committed to advancing medical care in Ghana and across West Africa.
The Keynote Speaker, H.E Wael Fathy, the Egyptian Ambassador, emphasised the importance of international collaboration, innovation, and strategic investment in strengthening healthcare systems. He commended awardees for their dedication and noted that resilient healthcare systems are critical to sustainable development.
Guest Speaker, Mrs Sandra Ayivor, Head of Accreditation Maintenance, QMSD, FDA, highlighted the importance of regulatory compliance, accreditation, and standardisation in delivering safe and effective healthcare services. She encouraged professionals to prioritise quality and patient-centred care to meet global standards.
The event honoured outstanding institutions and individuals across categories such as medical innovation, patient care, hospital administration, pharmaceuticals, and public health. Award recipients expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed their commitment to excellence.
