Hajia Farida, wife of the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, Hon. Yussif Issaka Jajah, together with Alhaji Sule of SAC Energy, has spearheaded a life-saving intervention for a two-year-old girl in urgent need of heart surgery.
Little Hibbah, who has been battling a congenital heart condition, commonly known as a “hole in the heart”, since birth, was recently assessed at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and required immediate surgical treatment estimated at GHS 112,500. The cost was far beyond the reach of her mother, 19-year-old Ayishatu Abubakari, a single parent.
Following a public appeal for support, hope has been restored through the timely intervention of Hajia Farida, who is also the Deputy Minister-designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, in collaboration with the Farijah Foundation and Alhaji Sule of SAC Energy. Together, they have taken full responsibility for covering the cost of the surgery and all related post-operative care.
This generous gesture has brought immense relief to the family and renewed hope for Hibbah’s recovery and future.
Speaking with gratitude, Ayishatu Abubakari and Mansur Abubakari expressed their heartfelt appreciation:
“We are deeply grateful to Hajia Farida, Yussif Issaka Jajah her husband, Farijah Foundation, and Alhaji Sule of SAC Energy for coming to our aid. They have given my daughter a second chance at life. May Allah bless them abundantly.”
