Ghanaian media personality and singathon sensation Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum has stirred fresh controversy after making allegations against her husband shortly after confirming their separation.
The influencer recently disclosed during a TikTok Live session that she and her husband, Kofi Owusu Aduonum, are currently separated, emphasising that the decision was for a “good cause” and part of her personal healing process.
However, just hours after that revelation, Afua Asantewaa made further claims suggesting longstanding issues in their relationship.
Speaking during another TikTok Live session, she alleged that her husband had failed to support or defend her throughout their marriage.
According to her, despite his extensive experience as a journalist spanning over three decades, he never publicly stood up for her during moments of criticism or controversy.
Afua also referenced her widely publicised singathon attempt, claiming that her husband only appeared supportive during that period for public attention.
She suggested that his actions at the time were more about public perception than genuine support, a claim that has since sparked mixed reactions online.
Her remarks have generated debate on social media, with some users sympathising with her claims while others have criticised the public nature of the allegations, describing it as unnecessary given the sensitive nature of their separation.
