National Chairman aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Boakye Kyeremanten Agyarko, has unveiled key figures to steer his campaign ahead of the party’s upcoming internal elections, naming Henry Quartey as Campaign Manager and Joseph Osei-Owusu as Senior Campaign Advisor.

The announcement was made at a high-energy meeting with a large group of volunteers, where Mr Agyarko emphasised that his chairmanship bid is aimed at building a formidable party capable of propelling Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections, to victory.

He said the campaign would focus on strengthening grassroots structures to ensure unity and electoral success.

In a statement signed by Vincent Frimpong Manu, spokesperson for the campaign, the team said the appointments signal Mr Agyarko’s intention to run a grassroots-centred campaign, particularly as both appointees have held very high public offices.

“Their vast experience at the highest levels of governance, combined with their strong grassroots appeal, positions the campaign to effectively connect with party members across the country,” the statement said.

Explaining his choice of leadership, Agyarko noted that both Mr Quartey and Mr Osei-Owusu bring extensive political experience and deep understanding of party dynamics.

“These are men of proven competence and commitment,” he said.

“Their track record in governance, party organisation and mobilisation gives this campaign a strong foundation to succeed.” Quartey pledged an inclusive campaign, stating, “We are ready to engage every level of the party,” while Osei-Owusu added, “We fully share his vision to rebuild, restructure and rebrand the party for victory.”

The statement further indicated that while the top leadership has been announced, a full national campaign team—comprising experts in strategy, research, communications and operations—will be officially inaugurated in the coming weeks, as the Agyarko camp intensifies efforts to rally support across the country.
