President John Mahama has delivered a heartfelt Easter message, reminding Ghanaians that no situation, however challenging, is beyond redemption.

Addressing Light House congregants at the Independence Square during the Good Friday service, he called for hope, resilience, and collective responsibility in nation-building.

“The promise of Easter that no situation is beyond redemption, not for individuals, not for nations, not for Ghana. No situation must be beyond redemption for our dear nation, Ghana.

“Yes, we have faced challenges. Yes, the road has been difficult, but Easter reminds us that restoration and renewal are possible if we set our minds to it,” he said.

He urged Ghanaians not to surrender to despair, but instead to focus on what can be achieved when citizens commit to the nation’s progress.

“I say to every Ghanaian this Easter season, do not lose hope, do not give up on our country, Ghana, and do not surrender to despair.”

The President also responded to critics who suggested that foreign governance would be better for Ghana.

“No. We can make this country a nation we will all be proud of if we set our minds to it,” he stated.

Drawing parallels with the Easter story, he emphasised that just as resurrection followed death and hardship, Ghana too can rise from its current difficulties to a brighter future.
