KMA Announces All-inclusive Clean-Up Exercise

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has scheduled an all-inclusive clean-up exercise throughout the entire metropolis on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

The clean-up exercise is in line with the government’s sanitation efforts and is expected to commence at 6 am and close at 12noon.

“To this end, all trading and commercial activities within the Metropolis are to remain closed until 12noon while the individuals and corporate entities fully participate in the exercise,” a statement by the Assembly communicated.

In line with this, it noted that no vehicles would be allowed during the stipulated period for the exercise in the operational areas.

“We anticipate that all traders, corporate entities, commercial drivers, and residents will comply with this directive fully.”

Operational areas for the exercise include Airport Roundabout to Krofrom Traffic Light, Airport Roundabout to Manhyia Palace, Manhyla Palace to Dr Mensah, Aboabo Station Crossroad through Alabar to Apagyafie, Sumankwahene Palace through X-5 Pub to Krofrom Traffic Light and the entire CBD.
