Kpikpi urges youth to rethink voting patterns

A leading member of the Progressive Alliance of Ghana (PAG), Dr John Kpikpi, has called on the youth to reconsider their voting patterns and support what he describes as a new direction for the country.

He challenged what he described as entrenched voting habits among many Ghanaians, particularly the youth, saying continued support for the same political parties had not produced the expected national transformation.

“I know many of you have been voting the same way all your lives. You have voted and voted, yet nothing has changed. I want to challenge you today to think differently and embrace a new way of voting,” he said.

Taviefe

Dr Kpikpi was addressing members of the Taviefe Youth Association at their Easter Homecoming, an event that brought together young people and community leaders to discuss issues of unity, health, business growth and investment opportunities.

The event formed part of broader efforts by the Taviefe Youth Association to promote unity and development within the community, while also providing a platform for political engagement as the country prepares for the next general election.

Dr Kpikpi used the platform to present the Progressive Alliance of Ghana as a credible alternative, promising leadership that prioritises citizens’ welfare and promotes inclusive prosperity.

“This new leadership promises genuine love and care for the people and prosperity for all Ghanaians.

The next time you go to the ballot box, I urge you to think and vote differently.

When we change the way we vote, we will get a different Ghana,” he added.

Leadership style

Dr Kpikpi stressed the need for a shift in leadership style in Ghana, arguing that the country requires leaders who are transparent, accountable and uncompromising on corruption.

“We need new leadership in Ghana—leadership that tells the truth, that has integrity and does not tolerate corruption at all.

Leaders must be honest about money in every situation because that is what Ghana needs at this time,” he stated.
