The Ho Sector Collection of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) last year bagged GH¢ 82.47million, representing 16.73 per cent over the set revenue target.

“This achievement is a clear testament to the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of all involved,” said Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Ho Sector Commander of the GRA, Kafui Ahiable, at an end-of-year party at Sokode-Lokoe, near Ho, on Friday (March 27).

The event was on the theme: Beyond the Target – Celebration of Shared Success.

He said it was gratifying that the sector did not just set targets, but also achieved and exceeded them through the determination, teamwork, commitment and resilience of customs officers.

CRO Ahiable commended the officers and contract staff of the GRA for their discipline and vigilance on the field, saying their unwavering devotion to duty had been the backbone of the authority’s success.

The Sector Commander paid tribute to traders and stakeholders for their cooperation and compliance and said their contribution had strengthened GRA operations and helped to achieve their goal.

Similarly, CRO Ahiable expressed gratitude to sister security agencies for their invaluable collaboration.

He gave an assurance that the sector would achieve its target for the first quarter in 2026, adding that the year’s revenue prospects were bright.

Regional Minister

The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, who graced the occasion, touched on the theme and said it spoke to the dedication, integrity, and hard work of the revenue collectors, who often worked under challenging conditions.

He entreated the GRA staff to continue to serve with the excellence and fairness that defined the authority.

“The revenue you generate is the lifeblood of our national development, and we respect you for that valiant role,” Mr Gunu added.

Prizes and citations were awarded to deserving staff.
