The issue started after the Ashanti Regional Minister went on a TikTok live to address issues after the most talked about “Soloku” festival organized by the largest opposition party, NPP.
Speaking during his TikTok live videos, the Regional minister took a swipe at the participants of the “Soloku” festival, subtly stating that those who attended the festival lacked common sense.
The Regional minister juxtaposed the “Soloku” festival and “Ashantifest” and asked his viewers and Ghanaians at large to choose which one they think is better and more sensible.
Talking about the “Soloku” festival, Dr. Frank Amoakohene noted that the participants have disgraced the Ashanti Region big time, revealing that had it not been for his fastness he would have swallowed an unknown insect.
Dr. Frank Amoakohene noted that, in the Ashanti Region, there are impurities in the midst of purities, adding that the sensible ones in the Region are more than the 38% who chose to attend the “Soloku” festival.
