Ghana is set to host a major international artificial intelligence gathering later this year, as global technology leaders, policymakers and innovators converge in Accra for the One Vecta AI Summit 2026.

The two-day event, scheduled for September 8–9, 2026, will take place at The Palms by Eagles and is expected to position Ghana as a growing hub for digital innovation and emerging technologies on the African continent.

Organised by AlphaVecta Technologies, the summit will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, including corporate executives, investors, researchers and technology professionals, to examine how artificial intelligence can be deployed to drive economic growth and productivity across Africa.

Under the theme “From Vision to Execution: Building Practical AI Systems to Power Growth, Innovation and Productivity Across Africa,” the summit will focus on moving beyond theoretical discussions to practical applications of AI in real-world settings.

Participants are expected to engage in hands-on workshops, live demonstrations and interactive sessions showcasing how AI solutions are being applied across key sectors such as finance, healthcare, agriculture and climate technology.

A key feature of the summit will be the Innovation Track, powered by MEST Africa, which will provide a platform for emerging startups to present AI-driven solutions, connect with investors and build strategic partnerships.

The event will also feature a line-up of international speakers, including senior executives from global technology firms such as Microsoft and Amazon, alongside industry experts from organisations such as Gartner and Fidelity Bank Ghana.

Discussions at the summit will centre on five thematic areas: AI and intelligent systems, financial technology, health technology, agricultural innovation and climate-focused solutions, reflecting the growing relevance of artificial intelligence in addressing Africa’s development challenges.

Organisers say the summit is tailored for a broad audience, including policymakers, business leaders, startups, students and professionals seeking to understand and leverage AI within the continent’s rapidly evolving digital economy.

The event is also expected to attract significant interest from both local and international participants, reinforcing Ghana’s role as a convening point for conversations on technology-driven transformation in Africa.
