The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced that the 2nd ICC African Sustainable Supply Chain Summit will be held from October 12–13, 2026, in Tema.

This was disclosed during a courtesy call by an ICC delegation on the Minister for Trade and Agribusiness, Hon Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.

The delegation was led by ICC Secretary-General, Mr Emmanuel Dhoni-Kwame.

Mr Dhoni-Kwame emphasised that this year’s summit will focus on building Africa’s sustainable supply chains and strengthening economic resilience across the continent. Discussions are expected to cover green logistics, trade facilitation, SME integration, and investment in climate-smart infrastructure.

The inaugural edition of the summit positioned Africa’s private sector at the centre of global supply chain reforms, and the Tema event aims to build on that momentum by convening policymakers, industry leaders, financiers, and development partners.

Hon Ofosu-Adjare expressed full support for the summit, noting that the Ministry is eager to continue working closely with ICC to advance sustainable trade facilitation and investment across Africa.

She reiterated the government’s commitment to policies that improve port efficiency, reduce trade barriers, and promote responsible sourcing within regional value chains.

The summit will feature plenaries, technical workshops, and B2B matchmaking sessions.

Organisers expect the event to attract delegates from across Africa and beyond, with outcomes feeding into continental efforts under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to build competitive, resilient supply networks.
