The Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations has commenced discussions with global technology firm Code Raccoon on a potential partnership aimed at strengthening Ghana’s national digital skills training programme.
The engagement, which took place during a courtesy visit, brought together the Minister, Samuel Nartey George, and the Chief Executive Officer of Code Raccoon, Mr. Jorn Halsinger, to explore areas of collaboration within Ghana’s growing digital ecosystem.
Speaking during the meeting, the Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to building a unified national digital learning platform that can deliver accessible, practical, and industry-focused training opportunities to citizens across the country.
He noted that strengthening digital capacity remains central to Ghana’s development agenda, particularly as the global economy continues to evolve through technological innovation. A key focus of the discussion was the proposed integration of Code Raccoon’s Ambylon learning platform into Ghana’s central digital training system through seamless API connectivity.
The integration is expected to expand access to high-quality training in areas such as artificial intelligence, coding, and entrepreneurship, while also supporting flexible learning pathways for young people and professionals. According to officials, the collaboration could help bridge existing skills gaps by aligning training content with current industry demands and emerging digital trends.
It also reflects a broader strategy by government to deepen digital inclusion and ensure that more Ghanaians are equipped with relevant competencies to compete in the global digital economy. Mr. Halsinger expressed optimism about the potential partnership, noting that Code Raccoon is committed to supporting countries in building scalable digital education solutions that deliver measurable impact. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between governments and technology providers in developing future-ready skills and fostering innovation-driven growth.
If successfully implemented, the partnership is expected to strengthen Ghana’s digital training framework and create new opportunities for learning, employment, and entrepreneurship across the country. The initiative is also anticipated to complement existing government-led programmes focused on youth empowerment and digital transformation, ensuring that beneficiaries receive structured, continuous, and globally competitive training experiences.
Stakeholders believe that partnerships of this nature are essential in accelerating Ghana’s transition into a knowledge-driven economy, where innovation, creativity, and digital expertise serve as key drivers of sustainable growth.
As discussions progress, both parties are expected to further outline implementation frameworks, timelines, and technical requirements necessary to bring the collaboration to fruition. The Ministry remains confident that such strategic alliances will play a vital role in positioning Ghana as a leader in digital skills development across Africa region.
