The Ghana TVET Service has dismissed reports suggesting food supply disruptions in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, insisting that feeding arrangements remain stable and academic activities are proceeding without interruption.

The Service assured the public that students in TVET institutions continue to receive meals as scheduled, with no reported disruptions to teaching and learning.

In a statement signed by the Acting Deputy Director for Corporate Affairs and Communications, Hephzibah N. D. Armah, the Service explained that existing measures for managing food supply in institutions remain effective and continue to ensure smooth operations across the TVET system.

The statement noted that, under operational protocols introduced last year, the procurement and management of perishable food items have been decentralised to the institutional level and are now handled by school principals, replacing the previous centralised system.

It said the arrangement allows for timely and context-specific decision-making, enabling institutions to respond more efficiently to their individual needs.

According to the Service, institutional operations are being effectively managed under this framework, with no formal reports of food shortages received.

It added that the absence of such reports reflects the stability of feeding arrangements and the capacity of school authorities to manage resources efficiently.

The statement further explained that recent engagements among agencies under the Ministry of Education form part of routine inter-agency coordination processes aimed at strengthening collaboration and improving service delivery at the pre-tertiary level.

It stressed that such engagements are not indicative of any crisis but are regular administrative processes designed to enhance coordination.

The Ghana TVET Service also stated that it continues to engage stakeholders regularly as part of efforts to improve the quality of technical and vocational education delivery.

These engagements, it said, focus on raising training standards while ensuring that the welfare of learners remains a priority.

The Service reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high standards across all TVET institutions and assured the public that the sector remains stable, fully operational and focused on delivering uninterrupted education.
