Lady Julia Osei Tutu has presented a van and 10 motorcycles to the KGL Eve Medical Centre to boost service delivery at the facility.
The presentation took place at the Manhyia Palace on Thursday, May 1, 2026.
The vehicles are expected to enhance outreach and improve service delivery at the Centre, which provides mental health and general medical care.
Presenting the items, Lady Julia, wife of the Asantehene, said she expects the donation to help position the facility as a centre of excellence.
“They are going to help run the facility, making it the centre of excellence we are looking for. As the patron of the KGL medical group, I hereby hand over the keys for our brand new van. There are also 10 motorbikes that will help with our outreach,” she said.
“We are looking forward to very good and fruitful work from you. We hope you put in your best effort,” she added.
The first phase of the three-phase medical facility, located at the Kumasi Medical Village in Boadi at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), was commissioned on December 9, 2025.
The US$2 million facility was conceived by the Eve Medical Foundation, led by Lady Julia, and fully funded by the KGL Group.
It is designed to house consulting rooms for psychiatric services, therapy and counselling units, inpatient wards, diagnostic and pharmacy units, rehabilitation spaces, and administrative and staff facilities.
The Centre provides dignified mental health services, general outpatient medical care, obstetric support, youth and student counselling, and professional psychosocial services.
