The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Dr. Kingsley Agyeman, has denied reports circulating on social media suggesting that he has been arrested by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
The claims indicated that the former Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat had been picked up by the BNI over alleged corruption-related issues.
The report was initially shared in a Facebook post by the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Digital Centres Limited, Dzifa Gunu, which quickly generated public attention and discussion online.
However, responding to the allegations in a video statement, Dr. Agyeman dismissed the claims as false and urged the public to disregard them.
Dr. Agyeman served as Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat from February 2017 under the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
