The forecourt of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church (OLSWCC) at Oyarifa came alive on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, as thousands gathered for KristoPraise 2026, a spirit-filled celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Held from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the second edition of the annual Easter musical concert brought together parishioners, families and members of the wider Christian community under the theme “The Stone Was Rolled Away” (Mark 16:4).

Delivering the purpose of the gathering, Dr Mrs Mary Wilson assured attendees that the risen Christ would remove every burden in their lives, including emotional struggles, sickness and financial challenges.

Building on the success of its maiden edition, this year’s KristoPraise returned with renewed energy, drawing worshippers into an evening of music, praise and deep spiritual reflection.

The event featured headline performances from the OG Band with Soul Winners, known for their rich harmonies and impactful ministry, and award-winning gospel artiste Perez Muzik, famed for his vibrant stage presence and contemporary gospel sound.

Also making a return was Apostle Peter Owusu Ansah, a Catholic song minister whose powerful ministrations continue to inspire many across the gospel music scene. Pastor Jones Aboagye of Lighthouse Chapel International also ministered on the night.

Adding colour to the event was the church’s drama and dance group, Catholic Cadence, whose captivating performance thrilled the audience. Children from the Sunday School also delivered a lively choreography that brought excitement to the stage.

The programme was hosted by fast-rising MC Kofi Tagbor, whose energetic delivery and command of the stage kept the audience engaged throughout the night.

From the beginning, performances set a joyful tone, with attendees singing, clapping and lifting their voices in praise. The blend of live music, dance and worship created a deeply engaging atmosphere that highlighted KristoPraise as a growing Easter event within the community.

The night reached a high point with powerful ministrations from the gospel artistes. Apostle Peter Owusu Ansah led a soul-stirring session with songs from his “Hope Album”, while Perez Muzik energized the crowd with uplifting praise. The Soul Winners also delivered a deeply spiritual performance marked by strong vocal harmony.

During his ministration, Perez Muzik expressed joy at the strong youth presence and encouraged them to embrace worship beyond entertainment.

“Such gatherings should go beyond mere entertainment. We must allow the experience to transform our lives beyond the moment,” he said.

The event was also graced by the Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis Xavier Sosu, who commended the organisers for a well-coordinated and impactful programme. He conveyed goodwill messages from President John Dramani Mahama and Vice-President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

In a surprise move, the MP took the microphone and sang alongside Apostle Peter Owusu Ansah, drawing cheers from the crowd. He also shared testimonies of surviving three separate accidents, attributing his survival to divine grace.

As the programme unfolded, KristoPraise 2026 proved to be more than just a musical concert. It became a moment of spiritual renewal where faith was strengthened, hope restored and burdens lifted.

The unity among attendees, from parishioners to first-time visitors, reflected the true essence of Easter, celebrating victory in Christ.

In his closing exhortation, the Priest-in-Charge, Reverend Father Anthony Anomah, reaffirmed the message of the event, declaring that Christ has indeed risen and the stone has been rolled away.
