A close source to the GFA has called out the two dancehall dragons in Ghana; Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy to fulfil their promises.

This comes after the aforementioned duo promised to contribute during the Ghana World Cup 2026 Fundraising Launch which was held in Accra.

During the event in focus which had many personalities present including the first gentleman of Ghana, President Mahama, Shatta Wale pledged to support the Ghana Black Stars with 100,000 dollars.

Stonebwoy, on the other hand, also pledged a total of $101,000 ($81,000 cash, $20,000 in music services) to support the Black Stars for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

However, Ghanaian journalist Raymond Nyamador had revealed that neither of the two has so far redeemed their promises, asking them to do so as soon as possible.

The journalist who is close to the GFA in a viral video claims “I have checked the documents from the Deputy Finance minister. They have not redeemed their pledge”.

He revealed that “Neither artist’s name appears on the official list of individuals who have fulfilled their commitments to the cause. Stonebwoy said it is his turn, I’m coming, I’m coming. Is that the difference? Will he do a song?”
