Former Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Hon. Collins Amankwaah has questioned what the NDC has done for the Ashanti Region.
The politician, speaking in an interview on Asempa FM monitored by GH Page insisted that the NDC party hasn’t done anything worthy for the Ashanti Region.
According to Collins Amankwaah, “I have to clarify this for people who have been deceived. The NDC has not brought much development to the Ashanti Region, especially Kumasi”.
He noted that “The NPP constructed almost all the major road projects in Kumasi. In essence, it was the NPP that gave the Ashanti Region its modern face”, adding that “Krofrom Market plan was started by the NPP in 2007. When the NDC later came into power, they never started the project”.
The politician believes that “The NDC likes to brag, but they do very little. They should stop claiming they have done a lot for the Ashanti Region because that is not true”, disclosing that “The NPP completed many of the incomplete projects left behind in the Ashanti Region, and that should be acknowledged”.
Meanwhile, Collins Amankwaah admitted that “The only major achievement of the NDC in Kumasi is the Kejetia Market Phase One project. But even with that, the NPP handled the interior works when we came to power because governance is a continuous process”.
