Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has urged party members to desist from clamoring for specific individuals to become running mates, asserting that it is not anyone’s entitlement.

In a candid statement on Joy News monitored by News & Vibes, Boadu criticized the noise surrounding the selection of running mate by Vice president Mahamudu Bawumia, stating that such debates only lead to unnecessary discord within the party.

“Like I said, it is nobody’s right to be become a running mate. If you want to be a president, contest, we open nominations so this noise about I should have it, I should not have it and creating all sort of challenges, I think that thing must be stopped.”
