In the early hours of a stormy morning in Amasaman, Greater Accra Region, chaos ensued as a high voltage distribution pole crashed down onto a moving Mercedes-Benz, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
The normally bustling streets of Amasaman were shrouded in rain and buffeted by strong winds as residents braced themselves for the inclement weather.
However, the morning took a dramatic turn when a high voltage pole, weakened by the elements, toppled over and collided with a sleek Mercedes-Benz navigating the rain-slicked roads.
Eyewitnesses described a scene of chaos and panic as the pole struck the luxury vehicle, shattering windows and crumpling metal.
Despite the severity of the impact, luck was on the side of the community, as the area was plunged into darkness at the time of the incident and so there were no casualties. If there was no dumsor at that time, probably the person in the car would have been electrocuted.
